GOP Puts Bills, Schedule on Mobile App
Transparency? There's an App for That?
Thursday, November 18— The House Republican majority, in the persons of Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy and Deputy Majority Whip Peter Roskam, are offering a mobile device app called Whipcast (article from Hotair.com). It promises live access to the full content of every bill and the bill's progress, including scheduled votes.
This could let the GOP stake a major claim on the grounds of transparency. Not stated was whether most mobile devices have the capacity for a legislative monstrosity like Obamacare, or whether a separate "Augean Stables" app would be needed for such legislation.
