History records the great evacuation at Dunkirk, in which civilian ships of every kind rushed to extract British and French soldiers as the Nazi forces advanced. About 340,000 troops were evacuated in nine days.

On 9/11, volunteer craft evacuated 500,000 people from lower Manhattan in nine hours. It was the largest rescue boatlift in history.

The Rutgers EcoComplex is far away (Florence), it is downhill from the road, its sign is obscured first by plantings and second by a construction sign, the parking lot is stingy, and the only people who had an easy time finding it were those who used the directions we provided. And, since Rutgers provided a lot of the Agenda-21 boilerplate that went into the State Redevelopment Plan, this was in the belly of the beast. There was a lot of feeling at this meeting.
