The Bayshore Tea Party cleaning the beach with Congressman Frank Pallone? Say what!

On Saturday, April 30 volunteers from the Bayshore Tea Party, Clean Ocean Action, and others joined Congressman Frank Pallone for an annual beach cleanup in Belmar New Jersey. Volunteers from the Bayshore Tea Party wore T-shirts saying “Team Bayshore Tea Party” to distinguish them from other volunteers. A jogger on the boardwalk stated “Wow, that’s something you don’t see often, the tea party and Frank Pallone together.” In a photo op with Congressman Frank Pallone founder of the Bayshore Tea Party Barbara Gonzalez said “Look Congressman something we can agree on!” To which Congressman Pallone sighed and put up his hands and nodded his head.Congressman Frank Pallone with Bayshore Tea Party members

When asked why they were here to help, Bayshore Tea Party member Charles Measley stated “People have a miss comprehension that we are against the environment, when in reality it is just the opposite! We believe that we have to be good stewards of the environment, and show individual responsibility.” Even though Congressman Frank Pallone and the Bayshore Tea Party normally disagree on various issues this is one where they have common ground.

Welcome to the Bayshore Tea Party Group Urban Outreach Blog

The last couple of years have seen a renewed interest in the political process by the American people. Since the informed active participation of the public is essential to the future of our nation, it is heartening to see the people “organize” (a la Saul Alinsky?) and taking the initiative.

At the forefront of this movement is the birth of the Tea Party. Each of you should be proud of the accomplishments and advancements of the Tea Party Movement (“the Movement”) in these two short years.

After the November election the conventional wisdom of the mainstream media and establishment politicians was that the Tea Party and likeminded groups were going to fade away.

Instead, the exact opposite has occurred; “the Movement” has become even stronger and more determined to return to the limited government and free enterprise system the founding fathers constructed.

The career politicians, bureaucrats and regulators along with the mainstream media are in a panic over the loss of their monopoly, power and status. For this reason they have attempted to brand the Tea Parties as a “group of angry racist white people” that do not care about the poor, minorities and immigrants.

This charge is complete rubbish. The Tea Party Movement is about freedom and liberty for all Americans, regardless of their race, creed or religious affiliation.

To answer back, the Bayshore Tea Party Group has formed the “Bayshore Tea Party Group Urban Outreach Program (BSTUOP)". Our objective is to go on the offensive visiting urban areas and recruiting members throughout New Jersey and the nation’s inner cities. People, urban and rural, rich and poor alike, are tired of being used as pawns pitted against each other by elitist politicians only concerned about their re-election.

By uniting together we will let these politicians know their days of over-regulating, over-spending and keeping people economically disadvantaged so they can lord over them, are numbered.

In December, BTPGUOP, in conjunction with the “We Care Partners”, collected hundreds of dollars worth of toys that were donated to the Battered Women’s Shelter of Essex County.  I would like to thank you for your generous support.

In the next few weeks we will be rolling out the urban outreach in full force. We are looking for volunteers to help co-ordinate speaking engagements, press releases, and media events.

Please visit the blog on a regular basis for information and updates on how we are going to spread the message to the masses.
